Using Simple Memo with Yahoo! Mail

Setup Steps (5 Steps)

  1. Download the app
    Search "Simple Memo Fast" on the App Store, or use this direct link to download immediately.
  2. Open the app and navigate to Settings
    When the app opens, you'll see the memo input screen. Tap the gear icon in the bottom-right corner to open Settings.
  3. Enter your Yahoo Mail address
    In the "Destination Email" field, type your Yahoo address (e.g., yourname@yahoo.com or yourname@yahoo.co.jp). Then tap "Send Verification Code."
  4. Enter the 6-digit code from Yahoo Mail
    Open Yahoo Mail. If the verification email isn't in your inbox, check your Spam folder immediately — Yahoo Mail aggressively filters emails from new senders. Once found, enter the 6-digit code in the app and tap "Verify."
  5. Done — start sending memos

Tips: Organizing Memos in Yahoo Mail

Important: Spam Folder Warning

Yahoo Mail frequently places emails from new senders into Spam. If your verification code is in the Spam folder, open that email and click "Not Spam." This trains Yahoo Mail to deliver future Simple Memo messages to your inbox.

Tip 1 — Add Sender to Contacts

Open the verification email and add the sender (noreply@simplememofast.com) to your Yahoo Mail contacts. This significantly reduces the chance of future Simple Memo messages being marked as spam.

Tip 2 — Set Up Yahoo Mail Filters

In Yahoo Mail, go to Settings → Filters → Add. Create a filter where "From" contains "noreply@simplememofast.com" and set it to move matching emails to a "Memos" folder. Your memos stay organized without cluttering your inbox.

Tip 3 — Search Memos Quickly

Verification code not in inbox — where is it?

Check your Spam folder first. Yahoo Mail is known for aggressively filtering emails from new senders. If you find it in Spam, click "Not Spam" to allow future emails from Simple Memo. Then enter the 6-digit code in the app.

Every memo is going to Spam — how do I fix this?

Add noreply@simplememofast.com to your Yahoo Mail contacts, or create a filter (Settings → Filters) to always deliver emails from that address to your inbox. You can also use the "Safe Senders" list in Yahoo Mail settings to permanently whitelist the address.

Should I use the Yahoo Mail app or a web browser?

Either works. In the Yahoo Mail app, find the Spam folder in the left-side menu. In a browser (mail.yahoo.com or mail.yahoo.co.jp), check the Spam folder in the left sidebar.

Does @ymail.com work?

Yes. @ymail.com is a Yahoo Mail alias domain managed by the same system as @yahoo.com. It works identically for receiving Simple Memo messages.
