Simple Memo vs Notion
Keep using Notion to write documents and organize databases. If you want a separate iPhone input app that sends short notes to email and Notion, Simple Memo can work alongside it.
This comparison is published by the developer of Simple Memo. We checked official documentation and the implementation corresponding to our public app version on September 7, 2026. We do not publish launch-time rankings here because comparable device measurements are not available.

Simple Memo has a direct Notion integration. Set up your email recipient first, then connect Notion in Settings. By default, a note goes to email and becomes one page in SimpleMemo Inbox. Saving only to Notion, without sending email, is a Premium option.

Check offline and encryption boundaries
Notion supports offline use on all plans in its desktop and mobile apps. You can edit downloaded pages and create new pages. The browser version is excluded. Notion’s official offline requirements
Notion encrypts stored data and network traffic. Simple Memo’s device encryption does not make email delivery or storage in Notion end-to-end encrypted. Compare the protections at each destination and during delivery. Notion’s security practices · Simple Memo’s privacy architecture
Use Simple Memo with Notion in three steps
1. Set up email, then connect Notion
Choose an email recipient during Simple Memo setup. In Settings, enable the Notion connection and authorize access. The connection creates SimpleMemo Inbox.
2. Capture a note and confirm delivery
The default sends to both email and Notion. Check that the Notion page exists, and check History for notes that have not been saved. Saving on the iPhone and arriving in Notion are separate stages.
3. Organize in Notion
Review Inbox pages in Notion and organize what you need into projects or reference material. Simple Memo does not sync changes back from Notion or let you choose any existing database as the destination.
This connection saves through the Notion API. It does not forward mail to a database-specific email address. The setup guide explains the email prerequisite and the Premium Notion-only option.
Which workflow fits?
Use Notion when you want writing, organization and sharing in the same workspace. Try Simple Memo alongside it when you prefer a separate capture screen and want notes in email as well. Your existing Notion documents can stay where they are.
